Is it true that bees die after it stings a person?

Yesterday I went in my mailbox and a couple of bees flew out. I slammed it shut quickly and as I was walking to the house I felt a little pin prick in my forearm then it quickly when to sharp shooting pain. I was stung and didn't know it. Now my arm is continuing to swell and I am getting angry and want some revenge against these little ... I am hoping they don't die after stinging someone because I want revenge. I want to go medieval on them. Any thoughts on revenge tactics? I though of catching them and putting them in a freezer until they are unconscious. Then tie a fishing line around them on one end and threading a sewing needle on the other end and attaching it to a cork so I can fly them around the house.
