Why is it not ok for a man to hit a woman?

you didn't do anything wrong but next time be more calm even though i'm sure it was hard to in this case. since most people will assume the guy is the perpetrator of any violent situation. its just a stupid sexist societal standard for etiquette and crap. you were self defending yourself. she should be arrested instead of you.
